New Date, New Venue
The Pavilion,
Wincanton Racecourse
Wincanton,
Somerset
BA9 8BJ
Fully
signposted off the A303
Over 100 tables of farm toys and models, plus Display Areas.
After running seven consecutive shows at our previous venue, the organisers of the event felt that it was time to move the show on, both physically, temporally, and in magnitude.
Those who visiteded the Farmer Giles venue in the early days will remember a site of great potential.
However, as the years passed much of the potential of the site, sadly, remained unrealised, and, the hoped for access to the farm museum and milking gallery never became a practical proposition for us at Toytrac. We were always aware of the other limitations of the site - heating, the 'offroad' car parking and the bijou lighting, however in the end we felt the site was constraining rather than assisting the long term viability of the show.
The 2007 toytrac at the new venue was well received by the public, and those who attended wil be sure to return in 2008, along with many who missed the show on the day.

The venue is fully signposted from the A303, carpeted and heated - a first for many of these shows!
Also there will be onsite catering, all up to date and modern facilities. The pavilion will allow for over 100 tables, plus we will be affording space to a display and layout area.

We will make the display and layout area an annual event and hope to reward those who participate, more on this later.

Wincanton is on the dual carriaged section of the A303 and has the benefit of two filtered clover leaf type junctions - no waiting to join the road on a Sunday evening nor is there the danger of having to cross the returning shopping and holiday traffic.
There is level car parking for 3,500 cars, with easy and level walking to the pavilion. The Teffont off road trials will be a thing of the past!
Although further to the west, the show is actually more accessable - it is nearly equidistant from Bristol, Exeter, Southampton and Bournemouth airports for our European and Irish friends.
